Hi, I’m Gary — a qualified electrician with over 18 years of hands-on experience in the electrical industry. My journey started straight out of high school with an apprenticeship in West Yorkshire, where I gained a solid foundation in the trade. Over the years, I’ve worked for a range of electrical companies, delivering projects of all sizes across domestic, commercial, and industrial sectors.

Throughout my career, I developed a strong focus on electrical maintenance and compliance testing — two areas where I’ve built deep expertise. I’ve provided ongoing support for residential landlords, property managers, and businesses, helping them stay compliant, safe, and fully operational with both planned and reactive maintenance services.

In 2014, I took the leap into self-employment, and by 2022, I launched Samco Electrical LTD to provide a more personal, reliable service to clients across Bradford, Leeds, Halifax, and the Yorkshire region as a whole. My goal was simple: deliver high-quality, affordable electrical solutions backed by transparency, trust, and technical know-how.

As an NICEIC Approved Contractor, I’m committed to delivering work that meets the highest standards. I’m fully insured, annually assessed, and proud that Samco Electrical LTD holds a health & safety accreditation through the PQS SSIP scheme — a recognised marker of professional safety management and contractor competence.

I also hold the City & Guilds 2391 qualification in Inspection & Testing, which qualifies me to carry out EICRs and other essential compliance tests — a key requirement since the Private Rented Sector (PRS) electrical safety legislation came into effect in 2020. I’ve completed hundreds of EICRs, supporting landlords and property managers in keeping their properties legally compliant and electrically safe.
